Masako Talley, 91, of Greeley, passed away on July 23, 2017 at Tru Hospice of Northern Colorado. She was born to Masao and Misayo (Tockiyama) Nunomura on August 12, 1925 in Tokyo, Japan.
Masako met her husband in Japan and married in 1950. She was granted US citizenship in 1958 and moved to the United States in 1967. Masako lived in Colorado since 1975 making many friends here. She volunteered for the Greeley Senior Center for 20+ years and took muck pride in this. She also made many crocheted baby hats for the newborns infants at NCMC. When she was younger she loved making Japanese dolls and doing needle work.
Her biggest pleasure cam from being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Masako is survived by her daughter, Marie (Ron) Foose; grandchildren, Collier (Jaclyn) Foose, Silky (Erik) Young, Caleb (Jenny) Foose, Carson (Amanda) Foose, Sparkle Foose, Sonnet Foose and Callahan Foose; 9 great grandchildren; Brother, Tuneo Nunomura and her best friend, Al Martinez.
Masako was preceded in death by her husband, Asbury Talley, her parents and half-brother.
A private Celebration of Masako’s life will be held at a later date.
