Ben L. Carey, 68, of Greeley, passed away on November 22, 2017, at The Suites in Fort Collins.
Ben was born in Sterling, to Lewis & Beulah (Brockman) Carey on January 13, 1949. He grew up in Eaton, CO and graduated from Eaton High School in 1967. He also attended UNC for a short time and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Ben worked for JBS for many years in the Traffic Department and retired earlier this year.
Ben had a special talent for growing beautiful plants and flowers and took great pride in decorating his patio every Spring. He also loved television, particularly watching football, Hallmark, and anything on the Public Broadcasting System. Ben was a thoughtful, fun, and caring friend who will be missed.
Ben is survived by his siblings, Bud (Fern) Carey, Darlene (Virgil) Maag; sister-in-law, Linda (Doug) Carey; nieces & nephews, Shawna Carey, Rick Maag, Debbie Hein, Brett and Matt Carey; and extended families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sibling, Doug Carey; niece, Julie Meis; and nephew, Justin Carey.
