The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
Eloise Winkelman passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to A.D. and Ada Brown on September 13, 1926 at her grandparents’ home in Perkins, Oklahoma.
Eloise grew up in the Cushing, Oklahoma area where she married Alvin Winkelman on December 9, 1946. They raised three sons, Lewis, Steve and Don in Cushing. She and Alvin shared 57 years together.
Alvin and Eloise moved to Ft. Collins in 1975, and attended the First Church of the Nazarene. In 2006, after Alvin’s death, Eloise moved to Greeley where she worshipped at the Greeley First Church of the Nazarene. Serving her Lord and Savior was always her guiding principle.
Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, and a daughter-in-law. She is survived by her three sons, Lewis (Patty) of Greeley, Colorado; Steve (Karen) of Arvada, Colorado; Don of Newark, Ohio; four grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 4 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2515 W. 16th Street, Greeley. Interment will be in Cushing, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to the Greeley First Church of the Nazarene.
