The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
Patricia “Pat” James, 75, of Greeley, passed away Friday, February 3, 2018 at Tru Hospice of Northern Colorado in Greeley. She was born July 24, 1942 in Denver to Oliver and Aldona (Gillis) Heaston.
After graduating from Alameda High school in 1960, she attended the IBM keypunch and data processing program, gaining her certification. She went to work for Mountain Bell in 1960 and State of Colorado Department of Revenue in 1961 and Colorado State College (now UNC) in 1965.
On March 7, 1964 she married Larry James at the Lakewood Community Church. They raised two sons whom they taught the value of hard work, honesty and love.
Pat enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, reading, the Flaming Flamingos Groups, going to movies, eating out and most of all walking her Schnauzer dogs.
Pat is survived by her husband, Larry of fifty three years; sons, Sean (Shae) and Mark James; Two beautiful grandchildren, Ethan and Katarina; and sister, Claudia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Per Pat’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held by immediate family members at a later date.
