The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
Sheryl Ann Cook, 57, of Greeley, Colorado passed away August 15, 2018 at her home. She was born May 12, 1961 in Sterling, Colorado to Ace Wiggins and Shirley Vogel (George). Sheryl was raised by Vernon and Shirley Vogel on their farm in South Greeley. She graduated from Greeley West High School. Sheryl married Tony Edward Cook on October 25, 1983. Sheryl worked a few jobs but spent most of her time raising her two children, Michael and Amber.
Sheryl loved gardening, playing poker, fishing, camping, cooking, making homemade crafts, baking Christmas cookies with the family, and loved her pets. She was kind, gentle, comforting, understanding, and loved unconditionally. Sheryl had a tremendous heart for God and people. She had a special way of lifting people’s spirit and always gave an ear or shoulder to cry on. She was an amazing, supportive mom, sister, daughter, wife, and friend. Sheryl’s favorite bible verse was Psalms 91:4. She will forever be dancing with Jesus.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, Tony; mother, Shirley Vogel; two children, Michael Cook and Amber Wurtz; grandchildren, Charlotte Wurtz and Hudson Cook; and two sisters, Carol Wiggins and Susan Boyer.
A service will be held at Christ Community Church in Greeley on Wednesday, August 29 at 1:00 pm. 1301 15th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
