Gary Dean White Sr. passed away from complications of Parkinson’s disease on Friday November 15th at his home in Ault, surrounded by his family.

Gary was born on October 10th 1940 in Buena, Washington to Clifford and Mary White. Cliff and Mary worked in the orchards in the summers and Cliff worked at the sugar factory in the winter. They moved to Ault when Gary was a young boy.
Gary graduated from Ault high school in 1959. In 1965 he married Anne Baum. They had two sons, Gary Jr (Butch) and Mark. Gary had another son, Scott Reeves, from a previous marriage.
Gary started a construction company Gary D. White Inc and did backhoe and concrete work. Later Gary and Anne bought and operated Heberlien Products (a welding and machine shop), White’s Car Care, and redesigned a potato shed into an apartment complex where they lived at his passing.
Gary loved old cars and racing. He was a member of several pit crews and attended many Nascar races with his racing buddies. The last Nascar race he attended was with his three sons and two of his grandsons at Bristol, TN.
Gary was a member of the Ault Lions Club, Ault Pierce Fire Department, Ault Sertoma Club, Trustee on the Ault town board, Ault Business Association, the Ault Senior Center, and the Ault Area Historical Museum.
Gary is survived by his wife Anne, brother Dick, sister Barbara, and sons Scott Reeves, Gary (Nancy), and Mark (Cyndee). Gary had 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Gary was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Jerre, sister-in-law Irma White, and a grandson Tyler.
The family wishes to thank his wonderful caregiver Shelly and the great staff at Accent Care: Gracie, Mandy, Jen, and Larry.
An open house memorial will be held Thursday, November 21, at the Ault VFW from 4-6 pm,.
