Larry D. McQueen
Larry was born in Greeley to Orville & Betty (Duell) McQueen on November 2, 1951. In July, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Larry married the love of his life, Victoria (Belmain) McQueen.
Larry is survived by his wife; children, Robert and Blaire McQueen; step-children Jessica and Calvin Williams; 3 grandchildren; siblings Terry (Lisa) McQueen, and Leslie Parker; and a large loving extended family.
Larry very much loved fishing with his family and friends. He had many fun times at Red feather, the lakes at Walden and several shared adventures with his Dad on the local rivers.
Larry also enjoyed Camping on the western slope and buying peaches. Larry had a love for speed and spent many hours slot car racing. Steve (BFF) and Larry also spent many hours building and racing cars at the Colorado National Speedway.
Larry has always been a dedicated father to his children. He was also very supportive if his step-children. Larry and Vickie spent many hours driving and hiking in the mountains. Well, more driving than hiking. But visiting many areas that he once camped and fished with his family.
Larry also had a great love for the University of Colorado (C.U.). He followed football for C.U., but his greatest love was C.U. basketball. Larry was given the opportunity to see a live game earlier this year (2019), and he was thrilled C.U. won that night.

Larry had a wide love for sports, to include; the Eagels, Avalanche, Rockies, and of course the Broncos.
With his love for C.U. came a love for the Buffalo. A very powerful and majestic animal, he found them fascinating.
Another venture Larry found fascinating was Big Foot. He was an avid follower of several Big foot research groups. Almost bought one for the yard, a statue that is.
Larry worked for the City of Evans for 42 years. Many of those years as Superintendent of Waste Water. This was a job he loved and had great knowledge for. If your toilet flushed within 8 days of the 2013 flood, it was because of Larry and his dedicated crew. They worked the 24/7 hours to correct service for the public.
Larry participated in the planning and execution of the new waste water plant. Unfortunately, he was not able to see this plant go on line upon completion. But if you live in Evans, know that it is working, or you would be up to your basements in sh*t.

Larry had a dry and somewhat sneaky sense of humor. I am sure those who knew him well, will understand what I mean. Larry was a quiet soul, but a soul who loved deeply and was deeply loved. Larry will be greatly missed.
