Raymond Junior Ray, 89, of Johnstown, CO passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2020 surrounded by family.

The last of the immediate Ray family. I spent 2 summers on he and Aunt Freda's farms in Whitley County Indiana. I learned a lot from him including how to start a exposed fly wheel John Deere tractor, which wasn't easy for a kid that barely weighed 90 pounds back then. His J.I. Case tractor was the first motor vehicle I ever drove and where I learned to drive a stick shift car. I can still hear his voice and see his baseball cap he wore and his wad of chewing tobacco in his cheek (LOL). I last talked with him in 2019 and he told me at the time that he baby sit me when he was about 13 years old in South Bend during the Summers when my Mom and Dad lived there. All my uncles were my favorite. Uncle Earn, Uncle Bob, and of course Uncle Junior. ( I never remember calling him Uncle Junior. He was Just Junior to most everybody in Indiana. I've always missed him in my memories of that time and always will. I known his family and Aunt Freda will miss him greatly, but like me, they will have those memories.

Freda, Steve, Gary, Jeff,Brian and Pam,
So very sorry and deepest sympathy on Uncle Jr's passing. Such a character he was...always with a story and I loved to hear them! After my dad passed, I always felt I had part of my dad with me when I got to see him.
He was so proud of his family and all you have become. Always keep your memories close in your heart and he will always be there. I know I have many great memories and will never forget him.
Please know we are thinking of you and praying for comfort and peace.
Love,
Steve and Suzanne
