Manuel left his earthly body peacefully on September 13, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Much like his birth, his death was at home surrounded by loved ones. Born to Fausto Marquez and Encarnacion Trevizo in General Trias, Chihuahua Mexico, he was the first of four children. After his father was tragically killed, Manuel at a very young age learned to help with everything on the family farm. He loved all animals, but his life long passion was horses. Many were the prizes he won in the small town rodeos near his home. As a very young man Manuel came to the United States with the Brazeros program. Seeking adventure, he worked on farms and ranches throughout the Southwest. Eventually he settled in Deming, New Mexico. He then ventured to Colorado and Wyoming learning construction, which led to his next career as a mason. Manuel's excellent skills, integrity, and work ethic put him in high demand in his field.

It was in Colorado where he met and later married Pamela Thill in 1978. Manuel was a man who loved his family, his work, and his friends. Never did he meet a person who remained a stranger for long. Always ready to lend a hand, he was always surrounded by friends.
Traveling in Mexico was another passion of his that he shared with his wife. From the Copper Canyon to the Caribbean Coast, from the pyramids of Yucatan to Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, many happy memories were made. However, the trips he cherished most were the visits to his family.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving brother Lazaro Marquez, his wife, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and large community of extended family and friends.
We invite you to join us in celebrating the memory of his full and joyous life on September 26, 2020 at our home at 2pm
