I only spent less than 24 hours with Bill on April 23rd/24th of this year. He came to our farm with my business partner and friend Scott James (an open lands fellow board member) to Hog hunt.
In my brief time with Bill - it was evident that he loved the outdoors, and that he was passionate about harvesting his first feral hog.
I am thankful that I got to hear Bills story of survival - very humbling - his love of the outdoors and his family - especially his wife and his sister (whom told him after he was resuscitated in the hospital ) that we was one tough "you know what." It was a gift to merry Bill, hear his story, experience his thankfulness for having his life extended.
