Obituary of Robert Frederick Stoll
Robert Frederick Stoll
Robert peacefully passed onto his eternal rest on April 20th, 2023, at the age of 91.
Robert Frederick Stoll was one of four siblings born to Fred and Elizabeth (Stroman) Stoll on August 16th, 1931, in Windsor, Colorado and later resided in Greeley.
Robert served in the US Army during the Korean War, seeing active duty, and earning two Bronze Stars prior to his honorable discharge in May of 1954. Upon return home, he married his love, Mary Elizabeth Frei, and they had one daughter, Karen. Robert and Mary spent 69 years happily married before Mary joined the angels in the fall of 2021.
Robert (Sonny) carried on his family business, Stoll’s Market until the store’s closure. Following this, he dedicated his time and love to his grandchildren, and later great grandchildren, playing endless card games, camping, sharing wisdom filled stories and advice as well as tending his garden.
He is survived by his daughter Karen, grandchildren Tyler (Carrie) and Haley (Luke), as well as his five great-grandchildren Marin, Kelty, Rosemary, Thea, and Graham. He was preceded in death by Mary, his parents, and siblings.
Robert will be greatly missed for his stories and endless love. Robert, along with Mary, will be honored and laid to rest at Fort Logan Cemetery on August 9th at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the YMCA of the Rockies.
