Obituary of David Bryant Armstrong
David B. Armstrong
November 14th 1969 - September 24th 2023
David Bryant Armstrong, of Greeley CO, passed away on September 24th, 2023. He was 53. He was born November 14th 1969 to Steven Armstrong and Deborah Collins in Fort Collins, Colorado and spent the majority of his life in Colorado. As a youth, he enjoyed living in Vail, Colorado where he became an avid skier, racing in the Buddy Warner Youth Race League and learned to ride an off-road motorcycle before a bicycle. He later moved to Fort Morgan, where he acquired a passion for tennis. He lobbied the school board to reinstate the tennis team at the High School, which still exists today. He had a strong belief in Christianity and Jesus Christ as his savior throughout his life. In high school, he volunteered at Highland Hills Church Camp near Estes Park, CO as a camp counselor, and volunteered in missionary work through the Presbyterian Church of Ft. Morgan. Later in life he also taught various classes with Lamb Ministries in Greeley. He held dear, a love for the mountains and spent time every summer with his family in Estes Park. His favorite activities included hiking, the annual kids fishing tournament and the annual go kart race, one that was taken very seriously as the winner had bragging rights for a year. David enjoyed cooking, having developed the skill through his years in the restaurant business, loved his wild dog Taz, and bowling, which became a hobby of his in later years. David also had a passion for the Broncos. It was a rare occasion that he was not seen dressed in Bronco’s gear, and his home sported the décor as well. He loved attending games, and win or lose, was an avid and undeterred enthusiast. The most important thing to David, however, was his son, Bryant. They maintained a very close relationship that he valued above all else. David always walked into a room with a smile, was kind to all, and offered help to anyone in need. He was very much loved, and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his parents, Deborah Collins of Fort Morgan, and Steven Armstrong and wife Lisa Armstrong of Denver; son, Bryant Armstrong of Fort Collins; sister, Lori McCleskey and husband Matthew McCleskey, and nephew Brayden McCleskey and niece Madison McCleskey of Rogers, AR; and brother Pierce Armstrong of Chandler, AZ.
